A Stoke City fan has issued an appeal to help him find a ring of high sentimental value he lost while watching a game at the bet365 Stadium.
John Holroyd lost the unique, six-banded gold puzzle ring, inset with diamonds, on December 3 during the Potters’ match with Burnley.
While not 100 per cent sure where the ring came off his finger, John believes the most likely locations are either in block 22 of the stadium in rows six or seven, immediately behind the Boothen End goal, or along the path from the south car park to the footbridge up the hill.
John, who is offering a £200 reward for the ring’s return, said: “I lost a valuable six-banded gold puzzle ring that slipped off my cold finger. The most likely location will be the start of the row seven section immediately after the entrance steps leading to seats 323/4.
“I bought it in 1982. It represents 33 years of sentimentality of my industry work in various countries abroad.”
Although the police and Bet365 have been contacted, the ring has yet to be found.
